Looking Forward

I’m sensing 2026 will be a year of hope in the midst of tribulation. Much like the connection of failure to success, hope is inextricably connected to our trials and tribulation. Likely there are many wrestling with the reality (and false realities) of what’s going on in the world while maintaining a posture of hope for the future. Knowing and taking God at His Word is essential to walking in His peace and trusting Him with the challenges of our day. There is nothing new under the sun; but everything will be made new in His timing by His Son.
The facts of this present day might be raging in destructive flames, but the fire of God's purifying truth burns hotter. Kingdom purification involves a process, not just a one time event. Not even a series of events, within our scope of understanding, is likely to reflect God’s ultimate plans for you, others, or humanity. Galatians chapter 5 reminds me of the freedom and hope we have in and through Christ. We’re called to be change agents. Charged to demonstrate His love in every challenging circumstance through the fruit produced by a life yielded to the Holy Spirit.
As the trials and tribulations of 2026 come to pass, may our joy overflow; peace subdue; patience endure; kindness be activated; life be full of His virtues; faith prevail; gentleness reign, and spiritual might overcome.
