Looking Back

Knowing and/or remembering where you come from is a pretty simple but profound way to connect to the goodness of God and the ways in which we can praise Him in seasons of struggle and setbacks. Looking back over the last year there are so many moments within the OutCast Community Gatherings people were touched by God’s continued gift of His love, peace and joy. Breakthroughs in the midst of courageous transparency and vulnerability set others free while releasing fresh revelation to those upholding the transformation of those transformed by Truth.

A visitor to one of our Living Fearless Gatherings asked after the session was over “ Is it like this every week?” My bride Cynthia and I affirmed this was our norm, to which he exclaimed “I’ve never experienced anything like this in any church I’ve been to in 50 years.” This is what makes OCN different, we really are the unchurch Church. We truly value relationships over rituals or religiosity. After Jesus ascended He sent the Holy Spirit to connect us so that we would be His Church and Bride. The early church grew daily through relational interaction and hunger for more of God’s presence in the midst of oppression. We believe the same dynamic exists today.

As a peer driven community of believers following the ways of Jesus Christ, we’ve created a safe platform for the messages of many to help transform the lives of many. Meeting online face to face in interactive gatherings has proven itself to be a great way to affirm people in their God given identities, gifts and talents. Connecting with a community of likeminded men and women searching for more than a monologue, it's abundantly clear that people are hungry to be seen and known, not just attending and providing their resources.

Here, within our numerous gatherings, looking back is only for the purpose of moving forward and praising God. We’re not inviting people to church, we’re inviting them to become the church. The Father is calling his children out of the shadows so He can place them where he needs them.

We are humbled by the Lord’s commissioning to cast the net off the other side of the boat and bring them to Him, not the church.
